Your Mom’s Kitchen was formed by a local bartender who wanted to provide an array of local, homemade tasting products to visitors and inhabitants of the island. Over the years, Justin Johnston, also known as “JJ”, saw a trend developing not only at the bar he worked at, but at bars across the island. When patrons would order a Bloody Mary, they would always ask, “What mix do you use?” followed by the question "Do you have anything local?". A lightbulb went off and the quest for a local Bloody Mary mix began.
Over the next 15 months, the recipe was fine tuned by trying different concoctions on customers, friends, or anyone who liked a good Bloody Mary. A local marketing firm was hired to help develop and brand the catchy logo. All the necessary steps were taken to finally get the mix manufactured. The final product: “Your Mom’s Island Blend” Bloody Mary Mix.
What started out as a local bloody mary mix, is now becoming a nationally sold product. The feedback on "Island Blend" is astounding, winning every blind taste test it has participated in. The catchy logo combined with the savory flavor, has made it the premier bloody mary mix stirring up the cocktail industry.
Your Mom's Island Blend is now being carried by C & G Distributing in the Lima, Ohio area, FUNBeV Distributing in the Columbus, Ohio area, and Henry J. Lee Distributing in the state of South Carolina.
